Score 90/100 · Drink 2011-2031, Robert Parker, Dec 2009

The 2006 Petite Sirah Royal Punishers displays the color of pen ink. Moderately intense aromas of new oak, blackberries, blueberries, pepper, and flowers emerge from this 2006. The least impressive effort, but still outstanding, this medium to full-bodied wine requires 2-3 years of cellaring, and should last for 15-20 years. This is a beautiful portfolio of wines from Robert Biale Vineyards. The Stagecoach Vineyard is a large parcel nearly 500 acres on the hillsides above Oakville. Tel. (707) 257-7555
