Spiced and earthy with black fruits and notes of pine sap. Plenty of palate density and persistence here.  The wine needs aeration or another year or two in the cellar to show the depth and complexity. A bit of heat on the finish still works with the wine overall. Fine-grained tactile tannin and balancing acidity. (ECB)

Brilliant red. Energetic aromas of fresh red fruits, candied rose and allspice, joined by hints of musky earth and minerals. Juicy and focused on the palate, offering appealingly sweet raspberry and floral pastille flavors and a touch of white pepper. In a fresh, exuberant style, showing no excess fat. Smooth tannins sneak in slowly to add shape and grip to a very long, penetrating finish.
