Score 90-92/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2006

Deep red-ruby. Sweet, highly aromatic nose combines redcurrant, rose petal and mint, with hints of chocolate and minerals. Dense, silky and large-scaled but briary and dry, with a peppery quality and firm-edged tannins. This micro-cuvee comes across as less sweet today than the Clos de la Roche but finishes with excellent persistence.
