Score 92/100 · Drink 2011-2026, Robert Parker, May 2011

A strong effort from the Trefethen family, whose vineyards lie in the most southern part of Napa Valley in the Oak Knoll district, this blend of 99% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Merlot exhibits wonderfully sweet tobacco leaf as well as red and black currant fruit and a floral, dusty, earthy component. Medium to full-bodied, elegant, dense and rich, the acids, tannins, alcohol, wood and fruit are in perfect harmony in this complex beauty, which is drinking well at present, and capable of lasting another 10-15+ years.
