Tasting notes
The 2020 Chardonnay Tenth Stop shows a bit more texture than the other Chardonnays in the range. Lemon confit, hazelnut, spice, butter and apple tart open nicely. This small-scaled but harmonious Chardonnay has plenty to offer.

The 2020 Chardonnay Tenth Stop is fresh of wet river rock, fresh basil, and pineapple. The palate is rounded, with a soft texture, and is floral with honeysuckle, ripe pear, and almond. Drink 2022-2032. Founded by three childhood friends, Christopher Strieter, Max Thieriot, and Myles Lawrence-Briggs, Senses Wines has their estate holdings in the West Sonoma Coast and Russian River Valley appellations. With their esteemed winemaker, Thomas Rivers Brown, they are producing some exceptional Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon. They have slowly and steadily expanded their production from just 600 cases in 2012 to approximately 5000 cases today.
Delicate to begin, the 2020 Chardonnay Tenth Stop takes time to unfold aromas of beeswax, toasted meringue, sage, lime and crushed stone. The light-bodied palate is seamless and mineral-driven at this stage, with a satiny texture, intense flavors and great length. 190 cases were made.
