Tasting notes
2018 is the first vintage of the 'Estates' wines. While Mineral Springs Ranch is the original property and remains the heart of Soter Vineyards, Soter also acquired vineyards in Ribbon Ridge and Eola-Amity Hills in the years preceding the 2018 vintage. This blend has a bit more Ribbon Ridge fruit than Mineral Springs Ranch or Eola-Amity. Certified Salmon Safe and LIVE-certified sustainable. Certified organic by CCOF and biodynamic by Demeter. Pale, verging on medium ruby in colour. This is intensely herbal and earthy – sage, cedar, pine and moss. Red-fruit notes of cherry and plum complement the savoury-brush and dusty-earth aromas. Textured and warming on the palate, with really fine, silty and savoury tannins. This is a bold wine but is perfectly balanced and much more savoury than fruity. The most expressive of the Estates vertical (2018, 2019, 2021). (SCJ)

Bright ruby. Vibrant, spice-accented red and blue fruit and floral scents, along with hints of vanilla and musky sassafras. Juicy and seamless on the palate, offering cherry cola and raspberry flavors that firm up slowly on the back half. Finishes very long and precise, with steadily building tannins and resonating florality. 15% whole clusters and 40% new French oak.
