Single vineyard in Bendigo. Vines close planted in 1998. 100% whole bunch. 12-14 months in oak but only c 25% new. Certified biodynamic. Lovely hint of fresh stemmy character but fully ripe. Finely scented in a dark-fruited style. Elegant, spicy and upright in structure. Fine but structuring tannins. Still quite introvert. Rudi Bauer says they focus on structure and you can see this. Peppery clean finish. (JH)

Medium to deep ruby-purple colored, the 2013 Pinot Noir has an expressive nose of ripe black and red cherries, mulberries and currants with nuances of cedar, underbrush, cloves and rose petals. Medium bodied with firm, grainy tannins and just enough acid framing the muscular fruit, it finishes long and earthy.
