The 2023 Riesling Lenz is not legally dry, but Schönleber wants the wine to come across as such. It is made from grapes harvested in the Frühlingsplätzchen and its extension in Weiler, where there is gradually more loam. Subtle juiciness gives an impression of crunchy red and green apple on the nose, but the palate almost fizzes with lemon. There is exuberance, brightness and absolute liveliness on this slender wine. Despite the 10 g/L of residual sweetness, this is dry, and the lemon lasts. This is a wine of utter refreshment. (Dry)

Gutswein. Off dry. The RS is not at all obvious. Racy and crunchy. (JR)
