Tasting notes
Score 92/100 · Drink 2015-2019, Robert Parker, Jun 2015

The 2005 Persistence Proprietary Red is a blend of 53.6% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, 13.4% Syrah and 3% Petit Verdot, tipping the scales at 14.6% alcohol. This seems youthful and, again, one of those 2005s that tastes more like a four- or five-year-old wine than one that is already ten. The color is a saturated and healthy dense ruby/purple. The wine offers complex forest, black and red currant, licorice and incense notes, and a wonderful freshness and vibrancy. This full-bodied, youthful, promising wine should even get better over the next 3-4 years and last at least another 12-15.
