Score 87/100 · Drink 1998-2005, Robert Parker, Aug 1998

This wine possesses a dark ruby color, plenty of spicy oak in the nose, and a sophisticated, elegant, polished personality. The wine is well-balanced, with its 14.8% alcohol amazingly well-hidden by the wine's excellent richness. Tasty and forward, it is capable of lasting 5-7 years. This wine is made by Tom Eddy, who also has his own label. The wine is produced from the vineyard originally made famous by Turley Cellars' powerhouse Zinfandels and Petite Sirahs. However, the vineyard has a new owner, and 1998 will be the last vintage for an Aida-designated Turley wine. The 1996 Caldwell Zinfandel Aida is similar to the Turley offerings. Tel.
