Tasting notes
The 2018 Pinot Noir High Plains is another exceptional wine in this range. Bright red-toned fruit, spice, blood orange, mint and cedar open up first. The High Plains brings together so many things that make the Dehlinger Pinots so compelling, starting with its exceptional balance and overall harmony. Sweet floral and spiced notes extend the finish in this gorgeous, beautifully layered Pinot Noir. The Pinot Noir High Plains emerges from vines planted in 1989. In this vintage, it is all Pommard clone.

The 2018 Pinot Noir High Plains, from vines planted in 1989, is another stellar wine in the lineup. Exuberant aromatics, rich fruit and silky tannins are some of the signatures of a Pinot that delivers the goods big time. The High Plains is a blend of Pommard and Swan clones. I can't wait to taste it from bottle.
