Tasting notes
The 2002 Chardonnay Arroyo Grande is a selection from both the Rincon and Rosemary’s vineyards in the southern section of San Luis Obispo county. Its light, delicate gold color reveals a hint of green. With coaxing, restrained aromas of white peaches, apricots, citrus, and hazelnut oil emerge. In the mouth, it is medium to full-bodied, firm, and steely, with beautifully integrated wood, lively acidity, and a generous mouthfeel with everything in balance. This gorgeous, still young white promises to age nicely for 5-6 years. It reminds me of a premier cru from Puligny-Montrachet. Tel. (805) 489-0446

Varietally accurate, perfumed aromas of flowers, soft citrus fruits, apple and pear. Sweet, lively and rather delicate on the palate, with flavors of lemon, lime, chalk and flowers. Very pure and not at all overoaked, but with excellent intensity and thrust. Finishes subtle and persistent. It's always refreshing to find this style of chardonnay in California
