2020 Domaine Sylvain Cathiard Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots 1er Cru

Aromas of cherries, wild berries, plum preserves, exotic spices and candied citrus peel introduce the 2020 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Suchots, a medium to full-bodied, rich and concentrated wine that's broad and fleshy, with bright acids and plenty of powdery structuring tannins. This, too, shows plenty of promise.

The 2020 Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots 1er Cru has a very intense bouquet with dark cherries, iodine, violet petals and light graphite scents that gain intensity with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a candied opening, but there is a fine bead of acidity here, blood orange infusing the dark plummy fruit towards the finish that has a slightly granular texture. It is a little difficult to see how this will mature but I believe it is on the right track.
