Score 93/100 · Drink 2014-2020, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Jun 2014

The 2002 Les Suchots from Cathiard is turning into a little beauty. The nose is very complex with subtle sous-bois scents furnishing the detailed red currant and red cherry fruit. It seems linear at first but then opens up and gains depth. The palate is very well-balanced, the 100% new oak now fully assimilated and lending this Suchots weight and length without impeding that exuberant Suchots character. Feel free to broach bottles now, though I think this has more to give in the future. Drink now-2020+.
