Score 87+/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous
Dark red-ruby. Aromas of red berries, coffee, maple syrup, earth and minerals. Thick but somewhat angular; a bit gritty in style. Strong cherry jam and forest floor flavors of moderate complexity. Today the tannins seem rather tough.
