The intriguing, earthy, leesy, smoked beer nut aromas of the 2000 Chardonnay Woolsey Road belies its medium gold color. It has great up-front fruit, wonderful sweetness and flesh, and a long, full-bodied, concentrated finish. Tel. (707) 525-0570; Fax (707) 525-9463

Slightly hazy. Aromatic nose of honey, nutmeg and clove. Sweeter and fatter than the Goldridge chardonnay but also brighter in the mouth, with more convincing verve and grip. Showing well today.

About the producer

martinelli
Martinelli

Martinelli is a Sonoma benchmark for vineyard-designate bottlings—wines built to highlight how strongly a single site can shape Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Across the range, the focus stays consistent: small-production bottlings that feel distinctly tied to where they’re grown.
