Score 88/100 · Drink 2016-2019, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Feb 2016

The 2013 Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast) is an attractive wine to drink now and over the next few years. Red cherry, plum, herbs, tobacco and spices are some of the signatures. The Sonoma Coast is a bit less exuberant in style than is typically the case with the Merry Edwards Pinots, with floral and savory notes that are pushed forward, while the fruit lies in the background.
