Score 93/100 · Drink 2024-2029, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Jan 2024

The 2021 Pinot Noir Hallberg Vineyard opens with gorgeous floral aromatics. Bright and punchy, with notable energy, the 2021 marries Russian River exuberance with a good bit of vibrancy. White pepper, mint, crushed rocks, blood orange and mint lend notable brightness throughout.

A jeweled ruby color, the 2021 Pinot Noir Russian River Selection is singing on opening, with gorgeous purity to its perfume of cherry cola, candied roses, and fresh pine. It’s medium-bodied, but it fills the palate with fine tannins, a rounded mid-palate, and even-keeled acidity, with all its components harmonious through a refreshing and clean finish. A fabulous appellation wine, it will be best enjoyed 2023-2030.
