Tasting notes
The 2017 Zinfandel Hemingway is one of the most exuberant wines in the range. Plush, deep and rich with tons of depth, the 2017 packs a serious punch. Super-ripe red cherry, mocha, spice, licorice and leather all build into the rich, textured finish amid plenty of red and blue fruit. The 2017 has really come together nicely over the last year.

The Heminway vineyard is located at an elevation of 1,700 feet north of Pritchard Hill. Very deep ruby-black in color, the 2017 Zinfandel Heminway Vineyard is scented of roasted duck and fried herbs with hints of turned earth, black pepper and spice with a core of savory black fruits. Medium to full-bodied, it features savory/earthy black fruit in the mouth, with grainy tannins and good freshness, finishing long and meaty. 525 cases produced.
The 2017 Zinfandel Heminway is powerful and dense, with huge fruit and tons of concentration, but less in the way of layers or delineation. Chocolate, spice, leather, menthol and blackberry notes give the 2017 a slightly heavy feeling that will hopefully soften in aging.
