Score 92/100 · Drink 2022-2035, Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate, Sep 2022

Compared to Jericho Canyon's West Wall bottling, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon East Elevation delivers more cherries and redder fruit, but there's still something of a dessert resemblance, with dark chocolate flavors partially balanced by slightly crisper acids. The result is a slightly taut, less flaccid impression on the palate but with roughly equivalent pleasure.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon East Elevation is packed with black cherry/plum fruit, lavender, sage, mint, tobacco and dried herbs. Dark and virile, the East Elevation offers a fascinating look at this Calistoga estate. Readers should plan on cellaring the 2019 for at least a few years, as it is pretty potent. The East Elevation is the star in this range.,
