Lovely fruit on the nose with strawberry and raspberry aromas combined with cocoa and cedar. It’s full- to medium-bodied with fine and linear tannins that take you deep into the wine. Racy. Needs five years minimum to open and show its true potential. Drink after 2027.

Barolo. Mid ruby with orange tinges. Concentrated but still subdued nose of cherry and rhubarb, with a hint of dark chocolate. Deep red fruit on the palate and then loads of lively acidity and long, chewy tannins. Long and with an elegant palate weight. Cru pedigree. (WS)
