Medium ruby color. Intensely spiced nose of dark berries, cherry jam, licorice and fruitcake. Very sweet and lush, with an almost confectionery display of cherry and cassis fruit along with plenty of exotic oak spice. Rich, supple and sweet through the finish, which is marked by big but nicely buffered tannins.
