2013 Davis Estates Cabernet Sauvignon Zephyr Private Reserve

Their proprietary red wine, which is actually 92% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, is the 2013 Zephyr. This wine is a deeper, more concentrated and complex wine than its predecessor. Notes of graphite, licorice, charcoal, and black and red currants are followed by a wine that is relatively evolved, no doubt from having been aged 27 months in small barrels. Drink it over the next decade.
