Score 89/100 · Drink 2017-2021, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Mar 2017

The 2014 Pinot Noir Tilton Hill is aromatically nuanced and expressive to the core. Sweet floral notes meld into red cherry, blood orange, mint and pomegranate in a highly nuanced and expressive Pinot. The lifted, silky style of this coastal vineyard near Freestone works very well.

Pale to medium ruby-purple colored, the 2014 Pinot Noir Tilton Hill reveals earth and herbal notes over a core of red and black cherries, raspberry leaves and cracked black pepper. The finely crafted, medium-bodied palate provides a good core of red berry and pepper-laced flavors supported by ripe, grainy tannins and a lively backbone, finishing long and earthy.
