Tasting notes
(includes 5% viognier) Bright ruby. Floral aromas of fresh red berries and cherry underscored by suave minerality. Racy and focused, with sweet red fruit flavors, barely noticeable tannins and good back-end snap. An energetic, almost light-bodied wine that is already delicious.

Component #1, from Cote-Blonde, all granitic soil: Bright red. Vibrant raspberry and cherry on the nose, with an exotic blood orange note and pronounced minerality. Fresh red fruit flavors, silky tannins and excellent length. Component #2, from Combard (aging in a new cask): Wildly aromatic aromas and flavors of spicy red and dark berries, oak spices and sweet raspberry liqueur. Boasts terrific finishing sweetness. Should make a superb blend.
