Score 87/100 · Drink 2008-2012, Robert Parker, Feb 2008

The 2004 Cote Rotie, which comes from relatively young vines in different parcels, with some Viognier in it, is lean, as one might expect from this vintage, with austere tannins as well as some notes of tapenade intermixed with red cherry and currant. Drink it over the next 3-4 years as the fruit is likely to dry out before the tannins and structure give way. Importer: Kysela Pere et Fils, Winchester, VA; tel. (540) 722-9228
