Tasting notes
(6 percent whole clusters and 60 percent new oak) Limpid ruby. Expansive, spice- and smoke-accented aromas of red and blue fruit preserves, incense and cola, joined by a slowly emerging mocha note. Sweet, pliant and concentrated in style, offering intense blackberry, cherry-vanilla, spicecake and lavender pastille flavors and a spicy suggestion of star anise on the back half. Finishes smooth, sweet and extremely long, with resonating floral and blue fruit notes and supple tannins that come in slowly to add shape and subtle grip.

Pale to medium ruby in color with a touch of purple, the 2014 Pinot Noir Homer offers up intense red currant and red cherry notes with hints of spice box and forest floor. Medium-bodied, softly structured and with a good amount of ripe red berry and spicy flavors, it has a lively backbone and good length.
