Tasting notes
The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Gravel Series The Vow is ripe, dark and unctuous, with a seamless feel and tons of personality. There is plenty of structure underpinning the fruit, but the wine's mid-palate sweetness and overall density give The Vow a distinctly voluptuous expression. Persistent and deep, the 2014 is going to have a lot to say over the coming 10-15 years or more.

The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon The Vow hails from their Rutherford estate. It offers a rich, full-bodied mouthfeel, not much complexity yet, but a beautiful deep purple color, sweet cassis and kirsch-liqueur-like fruit, and a long finish. It’s a big wine, and well-balanced, but tight, yet it holds enormous promise. Forget it for several years and drink it over the following 15-20.
The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon The Vow is a beautiful wine. Bright and super-expressive, the 2014 graces the palate with exquisite depth and pure nuance. Silky, gracious and restrained to the core, the 2014 speaks to finesse above all else. The integration of fruit and oak is impeccable at this stage. I can only hope the 2014 goes into bottle with the purity it has right now.
