Score 94/100 · Drink 2025-2030, Yohan Castaing, Wine Advocate, Oct 2025

A delicately flinty, smoky bouquet of ripe pear, peaches, herbs and flowers prefaces the 2012 Vouvray Sec, a medium- to full-bodied, round and enveloping wine framed by gastronomic bitterness, a saline, iodine-inflected mid-palate and a long, ethereal and perfumed finish. At this peak of maturity, this is a stunning Vouvray sec.

Honeycomb, baked apple – bright acidity, light body. Very Chenin in flavour and texture, with a waxy finish, but overall it's quite a tart version. (RH)
