Deep bright-rimmed red. Explosive red and dark berry preserve aromas are complicated by suggestions of smoky minerals, incense and potpourri, and a suave hint of Indian spices emerges with air. Juicy and deeply concentrated yet graceful on the palate, offering alluringly sweet black raspberry, cherry cola and spicecake flavors and a sexy lavender pastille flourish. The strikingly long, penetrating finish features resonating florality and harmonious tannins that fold effortlessly into the clinging, sweet fruit.

Pale to medium ruby-purple colored, the 2015 Pinot Noir le Pre du Col Vineyard is a little youthfully mute, with fragrant notes of red roses and potpourri over a core of rhubarb, pomegranate and raspberry leaves, plus a waft of dried herbs. Light to medium-bodied, it delivers loads of earthy/savory red berry intensity with a chewy backbone and lively finish.
