Tasting notes
The 2018 Chardonnay Rachael's Vineyard comes from Mt Eden clone vines planted in 1994. The nose begins with touches of toast and candle smoke over fresh orchard fruits. In the mouth, it’s medium-bodied and mineral driven, offering hints at more savory layers to come. It's fresh and silky with loads of youthful energy and a long, uplifted finish. Give this at least two to three more years in bottle.

The 2018 Chardonnay Rachael's Vineyard marries textural intensity and vibrancy, making it one of the most complete wines in the range. Orchard fruit, lemon confit and white flowers are all woven together. Time in the glass brings out tons of Mount Eden Clone floral aromatics to round things out. All the elements of the house style come together in an absolutely exquisite Chardonnay readers will not want to miss. (AG)
