Score 91/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2006

Bright, full red-ruby. Crushed raspberry and a meaty nuance on the slightly candied nose. Then sweet, pure and floral, with the creamy, silky texture of the better 2003s. This boasts lovely concentration of cassis and blackberry flavors. Finishes very long and lush, with unflagging sweetness.

The blackberry, black cherry, and rose-scented 2003 Nuits-St.-Georges Les St.-Georges is powerful, medium to full-bodied, and exhibits intense concentration. Cassis, blackberries, blueberries, and dark cherries are intermingled with spices in its muscular personality. Projected maturity: 2008-2017.
