Tasting notes
This is the first release from Young Inglewood, and it is impressive. The Young family's vineyard is located in St. Helena, and the wines are made by Jennifer Williams and Steve Matthiasson. The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon is gorgeous and distinguished from the very first taste. Smoke, tobacco graphite, black cherries and plums are some of the many nuances that take shape in this focused, beautifully delineated Cabernet Sauvignon. Although deceptively medium in body, the 2009 is positively bursting with flavor and pure personality. I can't wait to see how it ages. Sweet floral, notes add lift on the finish.
