Tasting notes
Made by Adam Lee, the 2020 Grenache / Mourvedre checks in as 87% Grenache and 13% Mourvèdre that saw 20% stems and 10 months in 80% new barrels. It has an exotic perfume of ripe mulberries and red plums as well as spice, smoked herbs, and loamy earth. This carries to a medium to full-bodied, round, textured, seamless, silky Grenache with nicely integrated tannins and a great finish.

The 2020 Grenache-Mourvedre comes from the Templeton region of Paso Robles and is 87% Grenache and 13% Mourvèdre that was co-fermented. It has a spicy, smoky, peppery style as well as medium body, a silky, elegant texture, and all-around beautiful balance. It just screams Grenache and is incredibly well done. It’s scheduled to be bottled later this year.
