The 2022 Syrah Stonessence is meaty and nearly smoky in character. It wafts up with a darkly alluring mix of flint stones, crushed violets, citrus-spiked blackberries, and nuances of ash and embers. Texturally silken, it has depths of ripe black fruit elevated by hints of sweet spice, while minty herbal tones provide lovely lift. Blue and purple floral tones echo over a bed of fine-grained tannins, finishing long and staining with a tart wild blueberry tinge. Stunning.

Blood and iron define the 2022 Syrah Stonessence most, a thick, concentrated, purple-fruited wine of tremendous full-bodied power and weight. Crushed rock and gravel notes remain on the lengthy finish. Age 8-10 years.
