2014 Edge Hill Mixed Blacks Field Blend

Ripeness is pushed to the extreme in the 2014 Mixed Blacks Field Blend, a wine that is so primary, it almost tastes like a barrel sample! The flavors are dark, rich and concentrated, with plenty of dark cherry, plum and licorice overtones. The Mixed Blacks is an intriguing wine with considerable potential. I am not sure the overt, flamboyant style is intrinsically the best approach to capture that potential.
