Score 88/100 · Josh Raynolds, May 2005

Deep, dark red. High-pitched red berry and cherry cola aromas, with strong oak spice notes of cinnamon, clove and mace. Deep, rich and very ripe, with concentrated blackberry and cassis notes along with smoked meat and bacon; lots of roasted, tarry things going on here. Finishes with toffee and a sweet raspberry tone. Fans of new oak flavors might score this higher.
