The 2022 Chardonnay Edition Limitee was 100% barrel fermented and aged in one-third new oak. A bright yellow/light golden hue, it offers a lovely floral perfume of white peaches, fresh flowers, white pepper, and a light flint redux. Complex and long on the palate, this is an exceptional white, with fantastic balance and wonderful crystalline clarity as well as a luxurious feel, and while it has good density and richness, it’s long on the palate. It’s an outstanding 2022 for Drouhin. Drink it over the next 10-14 years.

The 2022 Chardonnay Édition Limitée is bright and spicy on the nose: white peaches are accented by tones of pie crust, allspice, jasmine, roasted almonds, flint and beeswax. The medium-bodied palate features deeply concentrated, ultra spicy flavors and a lightly grippy texture. It has bright bursts of mouthwatering acidity and a very long, spicy finish. It's dangerously easy to drink without sacrificing textural breadth and spicy complexity.
The 2022 Chardonnay Edition Limitée is wonderfully floral and perfumed with a bouquet of dried flowers, hints of incense and spiced nectarine. Seamlessly silky and serene, it flows across the palate with ease, displaying ginger-tinged orchard fruits as flinty mineral tones amass toward the close. This finishes remarkably fresh yet also incredibly long, leaving enriching notes of whole butter and a gentle coating of fine tannins.
