Tasting notes
Inky ruby. Aromas and flavors of fresh dark berries and olive, lifted by subtle game and cracked pepper nuances. Shows good depth and focus and picks up a floral note on the smooth, gently tannic finish, which leaves a sweet echo of blackberry behind.

From an appellation that struggled in 2014, Nodin's 2014 Croze Hermitage Le Mazel sports a deeper ruby/purple-tinged color. as well as a rather earthy, yet appealing bouquet of blackberries, raspberries, damp forest floor, pepper and hints of old leather. Medium-bodied and lively on the palate, with moderate depth and richness, it has a vibrant and energetic style, integrated acidity and a clean finish. It's a quality wine that northern Rhône lovers will enjoy, yet those looking for big textures and richness should look elsewhere.
