Score 88/100 · Drink 2025-2030, Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate, Oct 2024
A blend of Dijon clones from a particularly cool, windy portion of the Grace Benoist Ranch, the 2021 Pinot Noir Temblor Vineyard is vaguely reminiscent of some Awatere (New Zealand) Pinots. Green herbs and even hints of tomato accent tart cherries on the nose, while the medium-bodied palate is taut and ungenerous, with a hint of latex on the finish.

The 2021 Pinot Noir Temblor Grace Benoist Ranch is a potent, driving wine. Black cherry, plum, game, leather, licorice and graphite race across the palate. This intense, tannic wine is going to need time to come together. The natural richness of this drought vintage comes through loud and clear.
