A tank sample of the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa looks potentially outstanding. This will be aged 18 months in a combination of French and American oak and exhibits plenty of crunchy blackberry and cassis fruit with hints of cedar wood and vanillin. It is ripe, exuberant, and quite impressive. Interestingly, the final blend was 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Petite Sirah and the rest Petit Verdot, Merlot and Zinfandel. It should drink well for 15+ years.
