Tasting notes
Very attractive nose of dried cherry, cranberry and strawberry with a touch of unrefined brown-sugar aroma, this TBA from the red zweigelt grape really has a stack of red-wine character. Tannins, too. Analytically, this has opulent sweetness, but it certainly doesnât taste like that. Drink or hold.

Fermented on the mash for 5-7 days prior to the pressing, the 2019 Trockenbeerenauslese No. 4 Zweigelt Nouvelle Vague offers a beautiful bouquet of ripe cherries, plums and strawberries, sea buckthorn, white nougat, cigar box and smoked oak. Sweet and tart or even (lime) bitters on the palate, with toasty aromas and remarkably fine and vivacious acidity, this is a highly delicate, finessed, saline and sustainable Zweigelt TBA whose sweetness isn't shy but not at all sticky, just the contrary thanks to the pure and saline finish. A gorgeous wine. 9% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in July 2022.
