Tasting notes
The 2015 Blueline Estate 36-24-36 is packed with super-ripe red cherry fruit, kirsch, mint and copious sweet spice from the high-impact barrels Hourglass favored at the time. The 2015 has lost some of its mid-palate intensity, so it's time to polish off any remaining bottles. Floral top notes resonate on the finish.

The 2015 24-36-24 Blueline Estate Red Wine is lush, inviting and full of appeal. Super-ripe red cherry, mint, plum, new French oak and rose petal are some of the signatures. In this tasting, the presence of Malbec and its characteristic pungent red-toned fruit is especially prominent.
A Bordeaux blend consisting of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Malbec and 5% Petit Verdot, the 2015 Blue Line 36/24/36 has a deep garnet-purple color and gives up roasted nuts, earth and savory, Marmite toast and meat notions over a core of crème de cassis, warm plums and spice box. Medium to full-bodied, it fills the palate with black berry preserves and savory layers, supported by lovely fine-grained tannins, finishing long and beautifully poised even at this very youthful stage. 120 cases were made.
The 2015 36-24-36 Blueline Estate Red Wine is powerful, rich and expansive, which is to say very much in the style of the vintage. Layers of dark red stone fruit, tobacco, spice and licorice meld together as the wine continues to build in the glass. This, too, is quite promising.
