Tasted blind at the Burgundy 2011 horizontal tasting in Beaune. The Meursault Blagny 1er Cru La Genelotte 2011 from Martelet de Cherisey exhibits a slight flatness on the nose compared to the first wine, again with just a little SO2 evident. The palate is medium-bodied with a pleasant saltiness on the entry. This is nicely balanced with well-judged acidity, that saline element threaded through right to the poised, mineral-tinged finish. Fine.
