Tasting notes
Aromas of hot bricks, blackberry and tar follow through to a full body, velvety and chewy tannins, and a long, flavorful finish. Tight and structured. Better in 2020.

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon C. C. Ranch is a relatively big Cabernet with 14.9% alcohol compared to the 14.8% of the Element 28 and the 14.3% of Dragonfly. The wine has a dense ruby/purple color, sweet tannin, lush concentrated fruit, a medium to full body and is probably slightly more evolved and fuller than its two predecessors. This wine is another 21-25-year effort from Nickel & Nickel.
Another radiant, open-knit wine, Nickel & Nickel's 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon C.C. Ranch offers up a compelling interplay of punchy, red-fleshed fruits, cherry jam, flowers and cinnamon. This is one of the brighter, more floral wines in the range. Even with its more feminine personality, the C.C. Ranch packs plenty of vintage 2013 power, so a few years in bottle can only help.
