Tasting notes
The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is packed with black cherry, blackberry, chocolate, spice, new leather and sweet French oak. This decidedly bold, flamboyant Cabernet packs a serious punch. Chocolatey tannins frame the potent finish. All things considered, the 2015 has aged exceptionally well.

Kerrin Laz's 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is a big step up from the 2014. Bittersweet chocolate, lavender, licorice, black cherry and crème de cassis are some of the many notes that run through this voluptuous, racy Cabernet Sauvignon. Ample, resonant and alluring, the 2015 finishes with real depth and substance. This is a gorgeous wine from industry veteran Kerrin Laz and winemaker Celia Welch.
The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is made by Celia Welch (from Scarecrow) and comes from multiple top vineyards throughout the valley (mostly valley floor sites). Aged 20 months in 60% new French, it offers gorgeous notes of crème de cassis, toasted spice, licorice, hints of oak and caramel in a ripe, full-bodied, yet balanced, gorgeously layered style. It’s a seriously good Cabernet that’s going to keep for 15-20 years.
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon (blended of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot, 3% Malbec and 1% Cabernet Franc) is scented of red and black currants, baking spices and underbrush with hints of fertile earth and dried herbs. Medium-bodied, fine, fresh and chewy, it features plenty of savory layers and a good amount of chew to the finish. 175 cases were made.
