2014 Bevan Cabernet Sauvignon Bench Vineyard

The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Bench Vineyard is a new wine from Russell Bevan from the famed Steltzner vineyard in the heart of Stags Leap. Crème de cassis, licorice, lavender, and spice are some of the many notes that emerge from this deep, inky Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2014 was partially fermented in barrel, which adds to its textural richness. It will be interesting to see what Bevan does with this fruit going forward. There certainly appears to be plenty of potential.
