Score 92/100 · Drink 2023-2035, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Sep 2023

The 2021 Chablis 1er Cru Vaulorent was bottled earlier than the rest of the range, under natural cork as opposed to Diam, since the small volume produced meant it had to be matured in a tank with a floating lid ("plafond mobile"), which isn't really adapted for extended maturation. The resulting wine is consequently a bit more open out of the gates, offering up demonstrative aromas of pear, clear honey and bread dough, followed by a medium to full-bodied, bright and satiny palate, concluding with a saline finish.
