Tasting notes
Incorporating 3% Semillon, the 2019 Sauvignon Blanc is a rockingly good white offering textbook notes of lemon zest, white grapefruit, melon, and honeysuckle. With a Bordeaux Blanc-like character, it's medium-bodied, has good concentration, high yet integrated acidity, and a clean finish. It's beautifully done and should evolve for 3-4 years or more, although there's no need to delay gratification.

The 2019 Sauvignon Blanc offers striking nuance, texture and varietal character. Apricot, mint, spice and light tropical inflections grace this gorgeous, super-expressive Sauvignon Blanc. The 2019 was aged in 600-liter barrels. Larger format oak is a terrific balance to the richness that comes from lees stirring. Vineyard sources are the Estate and Tom Gamble's property in Yountville.
The 2019 Sauvignon Blanc is composed of 55% Sauvignon Blanc, 43% Sauvignon Musqué clone and 2% Semillon. It springs from the glass with a gorgeous perfume of orange blossoms, lemon tart and lime cordial plus hints of spiced pears, applesauce and coriander seed. The palate is sprightly, medium-bodied, refreshing and racy, delivering great intensity and poise with a spicy kick to the finish.
