Mid crimson. The same strange spiced oak as the Ballentine on the nose. But this is more appetising overall even if at the moment the acidity sticks out – unintegrated. Not very comfortable now. (JR)

The 2010 Proprietary Red Anthology is outstanding. Rich and full-bodied with lots of black fruits, sweet tannin, a layered mouthfeel, and good purity, elegance and richness make for an impressive wine. Overall, this was the finest portfolio of Conn Creek wines I have tasted in many years. Tel. (707) 963-5133
